
Born in Longview Texas in the summer of 1970. I grew up in a rural area surrounded by hard wood bottoms and sloughs. From the time I could walk, I was following my pop or one of my uncles hunting birds and small Game. Before my 12th birthday I had already become a savvy woodsman and accomplished hunter, fisherman and fur trapper. As I came into teenage years I was captivated by the idea of archery and bowhunting. I remember working feverishly the summer I turned 12 to save enough money to buy my first compound bow. Since then I have In 2001 I Joined the ranks of Pro class, shooting local and National 3-D, I am not alone in my Bowhunting endeavor. My loving wife of 21 years, Christina, is an accomplished archer and hunter as well. We have two beautiful children Casey-Marie, 20 and Travis 17. Both children have shot archery since they were toddlers and both have harvested big game with stick and string. I am truly blessed to have the talent God has granted me and a wonderful family to share them with. harvested over 100 big game animals including, Whitetail, Mule deer, Elk, Bison, Turkey, Wild boar, Javelina, Pronghorn Antelope, exotics, coyotes and numerous small game and fish with archery gear. I have hunted all over the southwest United states, Texas and Kansas. Of my harvests 15 of them have been Pope and Young record book qualifiers.
Field and indoor archery Tournaments. In 2000 I was the New Mexico indoor NFAA State Champion. In June 2003 I captured the Colorado Sta te Title at the American 1500 outdoor state Championship. I have placed in the top three in numerous state 3-D championships in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. I can be found following the IBO, ASA and NFAA circuits these days shooting in the Mens Open Pro class. With a love for archery and bowhunting, I have been blessed with having articles published on the subject in numerous magazines including, 3-D Times and Bowhunting Magazine, Eastmans’ Bowhunting Journal and the Colorado Bow Hunter. In 2003 I became a certified NAA instructor and can often be found at Archery Hut Sports promoting the Sport of archery and bowhunting while instructing students on proper shooting form and giving out advice on proven hunting secrets and techniques.
